If you want to spend less time and money putting fertilizer on your lawn every year, might we recommend clover. Clover is part of the legume family, and because of that, clover has a bit of a superpower: It can pull nitrogen out of the air and transform it into organic compounds that plants can use. In short, clover fertilizes your lawn, naturally and safely, all season long. Grass that grows in the vicinity of clover is greener and thicker all season long because it has access to a steady stream of nitrogen. With clover in your lawn, you may not have to ever add nutrients to your turf again. And adding clover seed to your lawn every year or two is a lot cheaper than synthetic chemical fertilizer.
